D.min
Real Name: Dmitri Minkovski
Concept: Math genius, commanding officer of the Auspice.
Combat focus: Survivability. He is the group tank.
Background:
Dmitri Minkovski was a math prodigy, chess master, and programming wiz, born in Russia but relocated to America at age 10.
He was into online gaming from the very beginning, with text-based MUSHes on a 120 Baud dial-up modem. He learned how to crack systems early,
phreaking with the best of them to fuck over good ol' Ma Bell, and adopting the online alias of D.min (pronounced "demon"). Hey, no one ever
accused him of being original. Fast forward about a dozen years, and he'd managed to steer clear of Johnny Law ‐ though just barely, in a few
instances ‐ graduate Magna Cum Laude from Georgia Tech, and become the leader of the top-ranked raiding guild on his WoW server.
The last was where he got into trouble, though. He was good enough with the numbers to find the optimal builds and
lead his guild to victory through superior math and tactics. But that wasn't enough, of course. D.min dabbled in viruses (what computer genius
doesn't?) and one of his little gems found its way onto the personal laptop of one of the developers at Blizzard. That's all it took; he managed
to sneak a "bug" into the upcoming expansion, a bug which was keyed specifically to his main tank's build. Not only was he the very first person
in the world to take down the expansion's final boss, but he basically did it solo. Which of course got Blizzard's attention. And Zion's. And
the Agents'.
A predictably nail-biting entanglement followed, which ended up with D.min downing a red pill, then being flushed out of
an industrial-sized vat of lube. He became a trusted member of Zion, fighting the good fight and raging against the Machine, all the while
helping to liberate other enlightened souls from the grip of the Matrix. In fact, he helped to liberate Lowball on his very first run.
Unfortunately for his original target, he bungled the Agent band-jamming protocols. The suits showed up, and got to her before the red pill could
take effect. This turned out to be good for Lowball though, who was watching from the shadows and managed to nab a red pill and escape the Agents.
That kid always seems to be in the right place at the right time.
